Realmente es un tema que recuerdo tan vagamente que llego a dudar haberlo recibido como lección en mi formación católica, e incluso hace poco he tenido ocasión de notar que, personas con una formación superior a la mía en ese campo, y más querida de lo que yo quise a la que recibí (era religión o ética lo que había que hacer obligatoriamente), tampoco tienen constancia o recuerdo de una segunda venida de Jesucristo a la Tierra.
Sin embargo, es un término que existe y, aunque sea ignorado según parece por gran cantidad de Cristianos, es real y aparece en las Sagradas Escrituras, y, que yo sepa, no ha sido rechazado por la Iglesia.
Se trata por tanto de un término griego con el que se denomina a la llegada de Jesucristo para estar en la Tierra con nosotros en el fin de los tiempos, cosa que los Esenios de Qumram creyeron que ocurriría en los primeros 100 años de nuestra era (aunque está por ver si ellos identificaban al Mesías con Jesucristo).
Esta palabra, como veréis en uno de los enlaces que os dejo, aparece en Corintios, en Tesalonicenses, en los que se dice que será en la parusía, en la batalla de Armagedón, cuando se acabará al final de la Gran Tribulación con el mal.

No sé si quizás la palabra aparezca tal cual en los textos que se comercializan hoy día, pero lo que sí está claro es que lo que describe es algo que se menciona en las escrituras y que, incluso en los escritos originales, aparece ya que algunos de esos textos estaban originalmente o, como primera traducción, escritos en griego.
En fin, ya que recientemente salió el tema en un bonito debate, de esos que da gusto tener y con gente con la que se puede tener, aprovecho para compartirlo con aquellos que tengan curiosidad por saber un poquito más.
